Swinging into action: High School Golfers and First Tee kids Enjoy Day of Fun and Mentorship

10 amazing volunteers from the HP Girls and Boys Golf Teams and 11 kids from First Tee had a blast at the Junior Mini Golf Clinic!

Our first event was a great success, with the purpose of supporting and inspiring young kids through the game of golf. A big thank you to my school golf teammates (and my younger brother Theodore) who helped make it such a fun and meaningful experience.

Even Texas heat can’t slow their love of golf

Summer tends to be the busiest time of year for golf tournaments and this summer hasn’t been any different.  But last week, one of my high school golf teammates, my younger brother and I finally had the pleasure of working with some enthusiastic young golfers. They had already completed a full morning group lesson and were set to play nine holes later that afternoon with First Tee. Yet, even in the intense Dallas heat, their youthful energy was clear as they joined us for drills and putting practice. We focused on some key skills and chatted about their aspirations in the sport. It was truly inspiring to spend time with them and witness their growing love of the sport!
