One Year of Swing High Golf!
It has been almost a year since Swing High Golf began. Launching this non-profit as a high school golfer has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. From the excitement of our first event, to meeting wonderful young golfers and volunteers, and making our donation to First Tee Dallas and the honor of being featured by AJGA, this year has been a busy year, one that has flown by and has shown me how much we can do through golf. Seeing the game, I love reach kids who nee

Youth leadership: A Day at Luna Vista
Gabe an Ace-level member at First Tee, helped lead the event alongside his two siblings, who are also Ace-level members. Together, they set a great example through their leadership and support for the players. “The Swing High Golf program has helped me grow not just as a player, but as a mentor, too. Hearing positive feedback from parents made me really proud to be part of it.” – Gabe

Mentorship on the Green
9 Holes: Small Round, Big Impact During spring break, 10 high school volunteers took a break between competitive golf to spend their afternoon mentoring 8 younger golfers from First Tee Greater Dallas. Leadership takes many forms as they cheered each player, offered guidance, and helped make the day fun for all. As founder, it was inspiring to see the next generation of Dallas golfers learning, connecting, and enjoying the game, and equally so watching our competitive golfer

Building Consistency, Swinging into Focus
Over the long weekend at Sherill Park, Pablo focused on building consistency. With tryouts 6 months away, this is the time to lock in, sharpen his swing, and strengthen his mental game. He wasn’t alone in the process. Two freshmen, Jory and Benji came out to help, offering support, and encouragement. Each player focused on their own upcoming challenges; Jory is preparing for the AAT in April, while Pablo is getting ready for the Medalist in the coming weeks on the same course

Being a Role Model: Ella DeWitt
Over winter break, Ella led by example. In between preparing for her own tournaments, she helped Ava get ready for tryouts in nest few weeks, helped organize the last event with fellow volunteers and encouraged younger First Tee golfers. She also connected with college golfer Adrienne Ahn, asking thoughtful questions to prepare for her own journey. Her positivity, dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on everyone involved. Keep up the amazing work, Ella!

Giving Back: A Full Circle Conversation with First Tee
From working the event to reconnecting with kids from First Tee, this experience was truly full circle for me. Swing High Golf provided an environment where kids could have fun, connect with one another and grow beyond just golf. Sharing my college and junior golf journey during the Q&A highlighted the impact of mentorship and community in youth sports.
