The summer after 8th grade, knowing I made my high school golf team, I had the chance to volunteer at a golf camp, teaching young kids the basics of the game. It was my first real experience using something I love GOLF to make a positive impact on others. That experience stayed with me, and I’ve always believed I could use my knowledge and skills to give back. Around the same time, I joined a program in my town called IMPACT, which gave me the opportunity to meet community leaders like firefighters, police officers, the mayor, school superintendents, and principal. Being part of IMPACT helped me realize how important it is to be involved in the community and how leadership and service go hand in hand. These experiences showed me that even as a high school student, I have the power to contribute and inspire others.
